What You Need to Know

Hello internet explorers and fellow literature lovers!

My name is Jordan Pulliam. I am currently a junior at Kansas State University studying Secondary Education with an emphasis in English/Journalism. I am also triple minoring in Leadership Studies, Mass Communications, and Literature Studies. The combination of my major and literature minor have brought me to ENGL 625: Ghosts, Goths, and Monsters. I created this site as a digital humanities final project for the class. I chose to focus on Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti because it is extremely captivating on a multitude of levels which I explore throughout the site. Rossetti's use of personal experience and personal longing create a poem that can be universally loved no matter the reader's age. It appeals to young children because of its mysterious fairytale feel but it also appeals to adults for its more realistic erotic language and events. I hope this resource is helpful and interesting and would make Ms. Rossetti a little proud. Enjoy!
